Launch Concert Success at Rhos y Gilwen
After the big build up C2's first concert happened at the Oak Hall Rhos y Gilwen in West wales in front of the Newport Music society.
The stage was flooded with instruments that included Marimba,Vibraphone Cuban & Middle eastern drums and No less than 3 Harps!
It got off to a bang with supersonic adaption of Rimsky-Korsakov's Flight of the Bumble. Other Highlights of the Concert included Ravel's Alborada del gracioso and a new suite of the Music from the show Riverdance.
The audience were kept entertained with Musical fireworks, lectures about the instruments and personal stories about expieriences whilst playing.
"We were thoroughly entertained, you didn't know what style was coming next. I would never have put these instruments together but they just work!" said one audience member. Another person commented " The new arrangement of West Side Story must be commended i'm sure we will be hearing this again and again".
